Where is the Dale Earnhardt custom?

...and then follow up with a round of absolute badassery. That's what Dougram is about.

Also, the guy in the pic? He is awesome.

Three things:

a) I'm still mucking around with the .mkv file. If it looks weird to you or something, contact me ASAP.

b) You may notice that some subs during the race scene seem to be missing. To tell you the truth, they are - I just couldn't make out what the race announcer was saying over the noise of the audience and the race itself. I even contacted a native Japanese speaker for help, but it was no use. D: They're not particularly important to understand what's going on, fortunately.

c) There is another continuity gaffe here, see the comments for spoilers!

Guess what?

I felt extremely tempted to sub all of Lecoque's lines like this. Probably some mob with pitchforks and torches would have materialized out of nowhere and lynched me, but it would have been worth it.

You know, I think I've figured out Dougram's gimmick. First: break your heart into pieces....

Also, I'm trying something new with the file. Let me know if you can watch the spanking new .mkv I just made. I really don't want to continue with the sucktastic old .avi + .ass in a .rar presentation.

TADAIMA MOTHERFUCKERS

This is where I mention my crazy adventures that kept me from updating the blog and uploading more subs, where I detail the myriad battles against armies of sub ninjae armed with fridge-sized shuriken launchers, where I describe strange, wondrous vistas I had the opportunity to witness in my travels through the Earth.

But then again, I can't do that, since none of that shit happened.

The truth is, I was burned out. Not just on Dougram, but on mecha as a whole. I stopped visiting /m/, I deleted the first Rebuild movie without even watching it once, I ignored Basquash even though I had sworn to follow it. I was tired. College and the fritzed laptop didn't help matters, let me tell you.

But now, some seven months after the last release, I'm here. No Dougram yet, though, but I hope you like what I have brought to you from my journeys.

I can't tell you yet if I'm "back" or not. I don't really know it myself. But here is an apology, in three .mkv files.

And if for some godsforsaken reason you held up hope: thank you.

-----

Enough with the emo bullshit, and let me tell you a story of an age long past:

An age of steel swords!

An age of steel monsters!

An age of manly men!

An age of young heroes!

An age of MANLY MEN

An age of OMG BOOBS

It was the age of the Panzer World!

Ok, screw this.

I still don't know what I'm doing wrong, and unfortunately college is taking up too much of my time to sit down and fiddle with the converting software's settings until I get this right.

So I call on you, gents.

Wanted: Dougram 19.avi raw.

Reward: Subs, and e-cookies.

Give me a hand, will you?

WMV Woes

Things are a little off-color for our Deloyeran buddies, as you can see.

I don't quite understand what I'm doing wrong here. I used a program (the name of which I can't remember right now) to convert my .WMV raws into .AVIs Aegisub could work with, but that program went down the drain when the laptop got fried. I've tried converting the files with two different programs now (MediaEncoder and Any Video Converter) and either the conversion doesn't work at all, I only get a sound file, or I get messed up video like this screencap.

Anyone here wise enough in the ways of converting to figure out what's going on? I hate not being a video guy.

Could it be...?

Laptop back.

Hoping it doesn't blow up.

If Gods are good and have enough time, a new episode by the end of the month.

Cross your fingers.

Mission update: not dead yet.

Now I have time. And power, too: electricians were working on the new house's lines and sockets for the last couple of weeks, so obviously there was no power for computers and such.

As some of you might know, my family moved into a new house. Which is, you know, great: the old place was like a cave (screwthank you, Ryu, for reminding me that every chance you got) and I have quite the view from my new room, picture related. But of course, the moving left me little time to keep up with things: I'm two episodes behind on 00 and I dread resuming my webcomic schedule.

And I had a fridge falling down on me. *shrugs*

Now on to the important stuff: my laptop, which I use to do the subbing, is still dead; I'm writing from an old Linux box that can't even watch the 00 .mkvs right, much less do video work. It did return to life on Monday, but it lasted all of a day before it fizzled again. I should have word on it tomorrow, and I'm hoping that I don't have to get a new laptop.

But anyway, what I wanted to say is: I'm not dead. I'm sorry for not having checked up in so long, but I still intend to finish Dougram before 2012 even if I have to carve the subs on granite myself.

I'm not sure how one would .torrent slabs of granite, though.
