So Far Have We Come
First, the bad news: Episode 26 is a clip show. At least you get a sneak peek at some new mecha in the preview for 27.
Second: I went back and corrected/retimed/remkv'd all the old .ass+.avi in a .rar episodes (1-18) and put them all in a nice torrent. Some mistakes were honestly embarassing, and I am sorry for those. Episodes 21-25 have not been touched, so if you have them you can put them in your download folder and help me seed the damn thing.
One third of a 75-episode series. Damn. I have the attention span of a gnat, so this is just a testament to how awesome Dougram is.
So, without further ado:

That was a doozy! See you later.

No, I don't like handcuffs either.
Chico takes one for the team and faces off against the Federation Bondage Strike Forces. Hilarity ensues.

Now, one thing is made clear by this episode: J. Locke is awesome. So awesome, in fact, that he can defeat causality. (Pay attention to the scene where he meets the gang.)

DOSE LUNGS
YOU WILL HAVE TO SPEAK LOUDER I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER OH JESUS CHRIST SOMEONE SHUT HER UP
Panzer World Galient - Episode 04 - After Chururu
Man, this show is fast. Dougram is cool, composed, and takes its time to develop its characters and plot. Galient rollerkicks the plot's ass and has its characters riding flying giant skeletons and whatnot.
Also, Hilmuka's voice makes me feel funny in the pants. *ahem*
Still, the amount of pantyshots is worrying. It's not Agent Aika level but damn, Takahashi, she's ten years old. FFS.

B-B-BUROKKUHEDDO DA
The plot thickens! And Heckle's back snaps.

Short entry today, have to run off now. See you soon!

There is probably Rule 34 of this somewhere.
And people say not-that-there-is-anything-wrong-with-that hijinks started with Wing. Or was it Dragonar?
Fang of the Sun Dougram - Episode 22 - Raid Operation: Two Birds, One Stone
There is a scene in this episode that particularly disturbed me. Not so much the violence, but the horrible plausibility of it. My country was another victim of the Cold War, having to endure a coup d'etat and a long period of military dictatorship (I was fortunately born late enough that the worst was already over, but I'll be seeing the aftershocks of that period well into my old age) and the image of people torturing fellow countrymen for information and petty cash hits just a little too close to home. So please remember, when watching this episode: this shit happened. And it's probably still happening.
Enough ranting now, on to the important stuff: people have been asking for a batch torrent of previous episodes. I am interested in doing that, but I'd like to give the old episodes the same .mkv treatment of recent releases and that's going to take some time. So hang in there!

Look at that face. Goddamn.
'80s quality. Never change.

Three words for this episode: Ghillie Suit Soltics.
Still mucking around with the encoding, I think I got it this time. Tell me what you think about it.

Where is the Dale Earnhardt custom?
...and then follow up with a round of absolute badassery. That's what Dougram is about.
Also, the guy in the pic? He is awesome.
[Deprecated - see this link]
Three things:
a) I'm still mucking around with the .mkv file. If it looks weird to you or something, contact me ASAP.
b) You may notice that some subs during the race scene seem to be missing. To tell you the truth, they are - I just couldn't make out what the race announcer was saying over the noise of the audience and the race itself. I even contacted a native Japanese speaker for help, but it was no use. D: They're not particularly important to understand what's going on, fortunately.
c) There is another continuity gaffe here, see the comments for spoilers!

Guess what?
I felt extremely tempted to sub all of Lecoque's lines like this. Probably some mob with pitchforks and torches would have materialized out of nowhere and lynched me, but it would have been worth it.
You know, I think I've figured out Dougram's gimmick. First: break your heart into pieces....
[Deprecated - see this link]
Also, I'm trying something new with the file. Let me know if you can watch the spanking new .mkv I just made. I really don't want to continue with the sucktastic old .avi + .ass in a .rar presentation.

TADAIMA MOTHERFUCKERS
This is where I mention my crazy adventures that kept me from updating the blog and uploading more subs, where I detail the myriad battles against armies of sub ninjae armed with fridge-sized shuriken launchers, where I describe strange, wondrous vistas I had the opportunity to witness in my travels through the Earth.
But then again, I can't do that, since none of that shit happened.
The truth is, I was burned out. Not just on Dougram, but on mecha as a whole. I stopped visiting /m/, I deleted the first Rebuild movie without even watching it once, I ignored Basquash even though I had sworn to follow it. I was tired. College and the fritzed laptop didn't help matters, let me tell you.
But now, some seven months after the last release, I'm here. No Dougram yet, though, but I hope you like what I have brought to you from my journeys.
I can't tell you yet if I'm "back" or not. I don't really know it myself. But here is an apology, in three .mkv files.
And if for some godsforsaken reason you held up hope: thank you.
-----
Enough with the emo bullshit, and let me tell you a story of an age long past:
An age of steel swords!
An age of steel monsters!
An age of manly men!
An age of young heroes!
An age of MANLY MEN
An age of OMG BOOBS
It was the age of the Panzer World!
Panzer World Galient, Episodes 1-3
The Legend Begins
Galient Awakens
The Battle of White Valley
SEED FOR GREAT JUSTICE

Ok, screw this.
I still don't know what I'm doing wrong, and unfortunately college is taking up too much of my time to sit down and fiddle with the converting software's settings until I get this right.
So I call on you, gents.
Wanted: Dougram 19.avi raw.
Reward: Subs, and e-cookies.
Give me a hand, will you?

WMV Woes
Things are a little off-color for our Deloyeran buddies, as you can see.
I don't quite understand what I'm doing wrong here. I used a program (the name of which I can't remember right now) to convert my .WMV raws into .AVIs Aegisub could work with, but that program went down the drain when the laptop got fried. I've tried converting the files with two different programs now (MediaEncoder and Any Video Converter) and either the conversion doesn't work at all, I only get a sound file, or I get messed up video like this screencap.
Anyone here wise enough in the ways of converting to figure out what's going on? I hate not being a video guy.

Could it be...?
Laptop back.
Hoping it doesn't blow up.
If Gods are good and have enough time, a new episode by the end of the month.
Cross your fingers.

Mission update: not dead yet.
Now I have time. And power, too: electricians were working on the new house's lines and sockets for the last couple of weeks, so obviously there was no power for computers and such.
As some of you might know, my family moved into a new house. Which is, you know, great: the old place was like a cave (
And I had a fridge falling down on me. *shrugs*
Now on to the important stuff: my laptop, which I use to do the subbing, is still dead; I'm writing from an old Linux box that can't even watch the 00 .mkvs right, much less do video work. It did return to life on Monday, but it lasted all of a day before it fizzled again. I should have word on it tomorrow, and I'm hoping that I don't have to get a new laptop.
But anyway, what I wanted to say is: I'm not dead. I'm sorry for not having checked up in so long, but I still intend to finish Dougram before 2012 even if I have to carve the subs on granite myself.
I'm not sure how one would .torrent slabs of granite, though.

Let's try this again
Alright, so no one picked up Galient yet (protip: DO IT), but trying never hurts, right? So let's see if I can stir up some interest on this show. Without further ado...
I'll be sorely disappointed if Blaster Kid doesn't flip out and kill hordes of mooks with a guitar case gun, Mariachi-style.
Galactic Cyclone Bryger - Episode 1 - Merciless J9
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=T4XMUYF1
The action is a bit on the lackluster side, but the show is so stylish that it doesn't matter one bit. And the soundtrack owns my soul.

Serious Canary is serious.

Sound timing is a little off during most of this episode. Damn the raws.

Creepy Nanashi is creepy.

That's the first of my five Dougram backup DVDs done. Now where did I put the other ones...

What did Crinn see?
I laughed like a fool at that scene. I am a horrible person at times.
[Deprecated - see this link]
Remember, when you get to the 'Coins!' scene: Japanese coins have that little hole in the middle.
Also, pay attention around the 18:50 mark, when Crinn moves his mouth but Heckle is actually speaking. Ah, '80s QUALITY.
